well, this book turned out to be a lot different than what i expected. initially, i was vaguely amused by the "musings" of christopher...i enjoyed his spin on the world, and thought how orderly and clean his life seemed, until it all unraveled. i think mostly i was annoyed with his parents, whose actions in any other child's life might not have been so detrimental, but turned christopher's world upside down. and yet, they were human, too, and are entitled to some leeway simply for living with him. then again, perhaps they were obligated to be a bit better than the average parents.
i finished it quickly, and felt sort of deflated when it was over. i didn't dislike it, rather enjoyed it but could only recommend with reservation.
